Dear IT gods,
Please let it be known that I am just the pseudo IT administrator in the office. Even though I may know a tad more about IT than the average Joe, my IT knowledge is still limited at best. That’s what consultants are for.
When a staff member calls me from 3,000 miles away with an IT issue, it is difficult to assess and analyze the problem because even they don’t know what they’re talking about. The difficulty is compounded when I need to explain the difference between a colon and a semi-colon to said staff member.
Please try to keep satellite office IT issues to a minimum as I would rather gouge my eyeballs out than try to troubleshoot someone’s Outlook from 3,000 miles away.
Smooches!

The Sis has finally left xanga and joined vox! Add her now, she's effing hilarious. She's smart and witty and has a penchant for f-bombs and cusses like a sailor.
Enjoy!
Pounds lost: 4
Inches?: I have no clue.
So the first two weeks have been ok, down four pounds. I can’t get too excited because this is usually when I start eating more. Well, I’m more focused this time and remember that the more weight I lose, the less calories I can consume.
I went to Nordstoms to check out the James Perse oxford shirts that I read about on Diabolina’s Fashion Blog. I grabbed the last one left, a size two and went to try it on. To my amazement, it fit! A little loose even. My mini-celebration in the dressing room was abruptly cut short when I remembered that James Perse sizes his shirts 1, 2, 3, 4, 1 being the smallest. Another Rachee moment. I can’t believe with the mini collection of JP shirts I’ve amassed over the years, I’d totally forgotten about how he sizes.
Oh well, I’ll be a size two at the end of the year if it kills me!
My reformer pilates class starts tomorrow and I’m excited and nervous as hell. I keep having dreams where I end up completed twisted in a pretzel. Wish me luck!
I have 10 weeks to lose 11 pounds. I can do it!
So I'm still trying to figure out to decorate our room, but the hubs is pretty resistant to my ideas. I thought I'd appeal to the Anglo-Saxon in him and go for something a little traditional. What do you think:
If this doesn't scream Hey! I'm a WASP! I don't know what does. Maybe it's a bit too busy?
It's here! And the hotter than Hades weather proves it!
I love Summer! I haven't always been so enamored with this season. As a kid, both of my parents worked, so we kids would languish all day watching reruns of Happy Days/ I Love Lucy/ Laverne + Shirley, eating microwavable French bread pizzas while my parents brought home the bacon. Our binges of reruns and frozen pizzas would be briefly interrupted with swimming lessons or the occasional vacation to the exciting city of Toronto.
However, most of the time, our Canadian cousins came to us and we would then forego our routine of TV, pizza, nap repeat for highly anticipated trips to Disneyland. So highly anticipated that the Sis + I would plan every detail of our day, we would meticulously map out what rides we would go on and in what order. Of course, that plan would go by the wayside as soon as we pushed ourselves through those turnstiles into park.
I'm all grown up now, but I still want to go to Disneyland. I haven't been in almost five years! Which is a travesty seeing as how both my current and previous residences were in such close proximity that we hear the booms of the firework show every night. 9:30 p.m. Sharp
So to assuage my Disneyland craving, the hubs and I are planning our Socal Staycation! What is a staycation you ask? It’s when you decide to vacation in and around your local area to avoid exorbitant travel costs brought on by sky high fuel prices. We’re lucky that we live in Socal, imagine planning a staycation for Des Moines, IA (No offense to any Iowans).
So far, we have Disneyland on the radar. I’m thinking a day trip to San Diego and maybe one of those Hollywood tours. I’m sad the tram ride at Universal Studios is closed down because of the fire. I loved that back lot tour!
What's your favorite time of day and why?
morning. hands down. I've always been a morning person. I love being the first one up, the first one at the office etc. I used to pull all-nighters in college all the time, but always found it unnerving to be up past 3:00 a.m. I love the start of every day, you never know what's going to happen.
